Shipping Policy | CIG Essentials

 

Once an online order is received you will receive a confirmation email and we will begin processing your order for shipment.

Orders received directly through our mail in catalog will be processed, and shipped with a copy of the original order form and receipt as confirmation of the requested items. CIG Essentials ships packages weekly every Tuesday and Wednesday with a 2-3 day expected delivery time to the facility, however, some delays may occur based on the availability and inventory of certain brand items. Shipping times may be altered due to holidays at which time shipping will be on the following business day. However, delivery times may be altered due to carrier back-ups, weather conditions, or other outside factors that are out of our control. Once we confirm that a package has been delivered to the facility the package room may take a number of days to deliver packages to the inmate. CIG Essentials is not liable for when the inmate receives the package once it has been delivered to the facility. It is the responsibility of the package room to process packages containing perishable items once received.

Discontinued or Out of Stock Items: Items that are out of stock or discontinued will be substituted for items of similar or greater value to complete the order. If a similar valued item is not available you will be notified, and a refund will be returned to the original payment method.

Supplier Direct: In our continued commitment to offering the best possible price to our customers some items such as clothing are shipped directly from our supplier and may take additional time to arrive. This cuts down on inventory cost which we in turn pass those saving on to YOU our valued customer.

Backorders: Backorders are not allowed if an item is not in stock and an equal substitute is not available a refund will be issued.

Order Cancellations: Because orders are process as soon as they are received, we ask that any modifications or cancellations are made immediately within 24 hours by phone or email. Cancellations, modifications or inquiries should be e-mailed to support@cigessentials.com or phoned in to (800)313-9577 Monday through Friday 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM Eastern Time. We will do our best to assist you.

Please note that when packages are refused, UPS as well as other mail carriers will imposes a return fee which may be deducted from your refund.

Charges: Shipping charges are based on the total weight of items in your order. Item weight has been rounded to the nearest ounce or pound for easy calculation of total shipping weight. (Example: 1 pound (or 1 lbs.) is equal to 16 ounces).
